AI Tutor (EDX Educator) EduCross includes EDX Educator, an optional AI tutor powered by Claude, an AI model made by Anthropic, PBC. The app asks for your permission before your first AI answer. If you allow AI answers, we send the following to Anthropic so it can write a reply: your messages; the practice question you are asking about, with its answer choices, rationale and the answer you picked; a short study summary: your exam track, days until your exam, your weakest system, today's study plan and how many full exams you have completed. We do not send your name or email address. Anthropic processes this information only to generate the answer and does not use it to train its AI models. Anthropic may keep it for a limited time under its own policies for safety and legal reasons. EduCross stores how many AI answers you use each day, to apply daily limits, and any AI answer you choose to report, so we can review it. You can tap "Not now" at any time and use EDX Educator with our built-in study notes instead; then nothing is sent to Anthropic. AI answers are for study purposes only and are not medical advice. Push Notifications If you allow notifications on your device, EduCross saves a device push token linked to your account so we can send study reminders, app updates and announcements. Notifications are delivered through Expo and through Apple Push Notification service (iPhone) or Firebase Cloud Messaging by Google (Android). We do not use notifications for advertising from other companies. You can turn notifications off anytime in your phone's Settings → EduCross → Notifications. Emails We may email you reminders before your Premium or course access ends, and occasional updates about EduCross. Emails are sent through Resend.
